The opening song on Orbit: A Love Story is a simple and sweet piano in a cold wind that grows a bit festive… 🙂
As the opening track was named “Winter,” I took it as a sign and decided to record a new Yule Log with the high-def camera that I borrowed from CCAT Corvallis public television. For years, watching the Yule Log on Christmas Eve (or day as the schedule worked out) was a tradition. It always would bother me (drive me CRAZY) when there would be edits and suddenly the same log would re-appear a half hour later or (worse yet) switch to an entirely different fire. So, I decided to make one of my own that didn’t involve temporal jumps.
