Musical Bingo Ep. #31 – ‘Autumn Textures’

We took a trip to Bald Hill Farm earlier in the week and it was a magnificent day for a hike. With autumn dry grass and the leaves all starting to turn, there was a wonderful variety of color and texture across the photos and video.

Musically, and no one will be surprised here, I just HAD to get back into the production studio for a little. I recorded the initial guitar track as the improv for the week then produced on top with the drums, bass, organ, strings, etc…. (mmmm samples…)

Some of the sounds came from the Korg Kronos and some from Logic 9 – and together, I think they sound pretty great. The production part is probably my favorite part of the process. I’m really looking forward to getting back in the studio and start working on the next record – hopefully soon!

Finally, I wanted to plug for ‘Wild in the Willamette’ at the end. This new OSU Press book benefits the Greenbelt Land Trust and was worked on by a magnificent team of creative and dedicated folks. It’s great to see it all come to fruition and we are proud to have been a small part.
