On August 1st, 2026, streamingkeys is releasing his most ambitious project to date: The Cinema Show. This record is a unique neoclassical-prog adventure themed on the movie going experience. Split into “Light” and “Dark” sides, the album ranges from minimalist atmospheric tension to explosive orchestral crescendos, exploring the emotional magic of silver screen composition while providing a rich canvas for his usual keyboard wizardry. “You can’t have renewal without loss, triumph without pain – it is fundamental to both cinema and life… and something uniquely human. This record really pushed me to go beyond my boundaries and try new things. It’s – by far – the best record I’ve made!”
For this album, streamingkeys has also created a companion app for the record. This time, it’s not a game as such – but rather an aural immersion app that uses your phone’s microphone to transport YOU into the soundscape! “I have wanted to make an app similar to the Inception movie companion app using my music since 2010…, and I finally found a way to do it!” The Cinema Show app uses your phone’s microphone to listen to your surroundings and incorporate your environment into the music – making every listen unique.
streamingkeys (aka Robert Peckyno) is a Pittsburgh-based composer, multimedia artist, and synth pioneer sitting at the edge between classical discipline and electronic rebellion. Defined by a signature delayed-piano style, streamingkeys creates cinematic soundscapes that blur the lines between sweeping neoclassical progression, retro synth-wave, and immersive ambient design.
The lights are dimming, and the curtain is rising…

Video
I made videos for many of these songs several years ago when trying to put the ideas into context … actually see how they work with images on screen. Each was very different, but one of my favorites was this one – “Alice’s Wonderland” – a very early
Disney animation that I paired with Recessional. View the entire playlist on YouTube!

Regular followers know that I am also a hobbyist game designer and love making small games for each record including a COVID blaster and a Seattle-themed gems game, a cross between ‘Space Invaders’ and ‘Centipede’ to go with ‘the Beetle Horde’ and a Christmas present adventure.
This time, it’s not a game as such – but rather a companion app that uses your phone’s microphone to transport YOU into the soundscape! Inspired by the fantastic Inception movie partner app, The Cinema Show app uses your phone’s microphone to listen to your surroundings and incorporate your environment into the music – making every listen unique.
