Grand-Cru Fondue
Of course melted cheese is delicious, but you might ask – what is MOST delicious? After this year, our answer just might be Grand-Cru from Roth Cheese. It’s a perfect cheese base for a fondue with both bite and creamyness. Add in some Chardonnay and you really can’t go wrong!

The ‘official‘ Roth Cheese fondue recipe says:
- 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Roth® Original Grand Cru® Cheese
- 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Roth® Grand Cru® Reserve Cheese
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Roth® Fontina or Original Havarti Cheese
- 2 cups (16 ounces) Pinot Grigio or other light to medium bodied white wine
However, that’s enough cheese to feed an army… For the two of us it was closer to:
- One small tub of Grand Cru (6 oz.)
- One brick of Fontina (6 oz.)
- A cup (and some) of Creamery Chardonnay
- Pinches of nutmeg, salt, and pepper
- One small clove of garlic
Instructions
Chuck the cheese, wine, and any spices you are adding in a fondue pot and slowly melt while stirring.
Pour yourself a glass of wine.
Chop anything you want to dip in cheese…
Enjoy! (easy right?)
