And We’re Off!

After a grueling month driving across the US to see friends old and new, we have finally arrived at the day we leave the US for New Zealand. It’s hard to believe that less than 5 months ago, Laura and I were still working in Corvallis. And yet, against all odds, we did it. We’ve sold the house, downsized, sold, or given away nearly everything we owned. Driven across the US to see friends and family and now, finally, are sitting in LAX ready to go.

This month has been full of some of the best and worst moments of my life. Some things I’m just not even ready to talk about yet. We’re both pretty numb from the whole thing. There is much to write about, but nothing that I want to just spill out onto the page without some time and thought.

That said, now that we are on the road, we will be posting here pretty regularly. I hope you will join us!
