World Peace, Anarchists, Unions, and other delays!

Well, here we are at the end of January and …  it’s been a surprisingly busy month (read Han Solo saying ‘It’s Not My Fault!’)

Over at SHPR, we had John Hunter in for two big lectures this month.   4th grade teacher and inventor of the World Peace Game, John Hunter teaches his students experientally.   Voted most inspirational TEDTalk of 2011, Hunter teaches us grown-ups (ok, -ish) with parables.    He’s also one heck of a nice guy and really gracious.     At OSU, he delivered the annual Ava Helen and Linus Pauling Memorial Peace Lecture.   As I was running all over creation during the lecture making sure sound levels and videos were correct, Laura was, once again, there to save my butt and ran the camera for at least half the show!  (thx love!)

We’ve also both been deep at work on two major web projects.

Laura has been working with the OSU-AAUP chapter website, and we’ve both been working on a website for the Anarres Project for Alternative Futures.
(If you haven’t read Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Dispossessed, you should!)
Both sites are really coming along nicely and should be live soon.

Next up, another major revamp for Volcano World!
This website has actually been around so long that is older than our freshman class!

Finally, Imaginaurium Records owner and president,
Slam, has passed beyond the rim.
He was over 21yrs old and has had more
adventures than most humans I know!
His loss is inconsolable.

Well, that was a really long and roundabout way of admitting that
both the video for Reverie and the next Orbit single have been delayed…
I am working on a remake of ‘Atlas Street’ that is funky beyond measure,
but have just had a few other things on my plate.
Hopefully before the end of Feb.

If ‘Orbits’ across the Universe had mechanics like me, we’d all be in serious trouble…
However, if you can’t break your own rules, how are you going to break the rest of em?
